# Home and Word of the Day

> Use Home to pick up practice, review recent words, and open the Word of the Day.

After you sign in, [Home](https://app.vocabmonster.com) is the first place to see what to do next. It is not your full library; it is a snapshot of today's word, recent activity, and any course you can continue.

**1. Open Home**

Sign in and open [Home](https://app.vocabmonster.com). On smaller screens, use the app navigation to return here from Search, Library, Practice, or Account.

**2. Open the Word of the Day**

The **Word of the Day** card shows today's featured word, its part of speech, a short definition, and pronunciation audio when it is available. Select the card to open the full word details. From there you can save it to your library the same way you save any other lookup.

**3. Check your streak and recent activity**

Home also shows your current practice streak, recently saved words, and recently searched words. Select a saved or searched word to reopen its details.

**4. Continue a course or browse Explore**

If you are enrolled in a course, **Continue Learning** takes you to the next lesson. Explore collections on Home are available with Learner and Courses plans; [Explore](/help/using-the-app/explore.md) explains how to browse and practice them.

> The Word of the Day changes on a daily schedule. Saving it uses one of your saved-word slots on Free. See [Plans and limits](/help/account/plans-and-limits.md).
