# Create an account

> Sign up, confirm your email, and finish onboarding.

Save words, track practice, and continue learning across devices.

**1. Open sign up**

Open the [sign up](https://vocabmonster.com/login?mode=signup) page.

**2. Create the account**

Enter an email and a password of at least 8 characters, or choose **Sign up with Google**. You can add a [passkey](/help/account/how-to-add-a-passkey.md) after you are signed in.

**3. Accept Terms and Privacy**

Accept the [Terms of Service](https://vocabmonster.com/terms) and [Privacy Policy](https://vocabmonster.com/privacy).

**4. Confirm your email if prompted**

Check inbox and spam for a confirmation message.

**5. Create a username**

Choose a username for your profile.

**6. Choose your learning goal**

Finish [Onboarding and Goals](/help/getting-started/onboarding-and-goals.md), then continue to [Home](/help/getting-started/home-and-word-of-the-day.md).
